One of my favorite songs to start the day off with. So freaking chilled out.
Skrillex’s double dose remix of this song was my favorite cut from the Birdy Nam Nam Jaded Future EP. Whiiite has taken that, chopped it up, slowed it down and brewed it till it simmered into this moombah banger.
The quality of the remix itself is definitely impressive but I like the personality Whiiite has built for himself using good artwork for this song as well as his page. Looking forward to checking out his other material.
Since I started this blog, the sole purpose was to share music that I loved with my friends and anyone who cares. This post is for the same purpose but is yet way more personal and special to me. I’m extremely excited to present for the first time, some exclusive content in the form of this great remix produced by two close friends of mine.
The track is a genre-blending and fresh retake on Kendrick Lamar’s Dr. Dre assisted single - The Recipe. It’s isn’t just a regular remix but is a reworked track from the ground up, building on a great alt-j sample, jellosea & audioMimic then spin out a variety of styles throughout the track.
From a laid back initial vibe of the first verse by Dr. Dre, the track smoothly transitions to the fiery verses of Kendrick Lamar which are perfectly accentuated with a deep bass backed up a dubstep beat to the hip-shaking dancehall rhythms of the bridge, this track just keeps you guessing while keeping you hooked.
Speaking of hooks, Coldplay are called upon to add their popular “Paradise” chorus which completes the track in an unexpected but fitting manner.
Music promotion is a hard business but it’s great to see the producers getting some love from the blogosphere. For all the bloggers who shared this track, we’d like to thank you for the love. Big Ups, The Burning Ear, The Journey, Good Music All Day, Sunset in the Rearview & Lights & Music for supporting this track!

I’m still not completely recovered from a pretty fun long weekend here in Toronto. I spent the last day relaxing at a friend’s house party and got together with Crossfadah to throw down some swanky house tunes.
The mix is still quite rough around the edges and the transitions are not perfect, but it was all done live, without any cue which might explain some of the random scattered errors you might find.
Still, I like the track list we ended up with and I hope you enjoy it too. It’s got a tech-y sort of intro from my side and then it breaks into a club/progressive sound when Crossfadah and took the decks and finally I rounded off the mix with some late night raver specials and a few crowd favorites.
Comments and feedback is much appreciated! The track list will be up soon on SoundCloud. Got a few more things in the works, excited to share it with everyone soon.
One of the most beautiful soundtracks I’ve heard. I found this on my computer a few minutes ago and I haven’t been able to stop listening.
